Responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Establish and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
- Support each child’s social and emotional development
- Prepare and deliver daily morning and afternoon snack to all classrooms
- Manage food inventory and make sure all snack items are available
- Meet all cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen area
- Drive the Goddard 14-person bus to pick up after school children daily
- Establish positive and effective staff relations
- Work with the Director and with the entire faculty
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Available to work M-F 9am - 6pm
- Must be 25 years or older, have a valid Virginia driver’s license, and have a clean driving record for the past 5 years.
- Has great attention to detail
- Flexibility to work with different tasks throughout the day
- Shows empathy and compassion for young children
- 1-2 years of previous teaching experience preferred
- Meets background check eligibility
- Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
